Abstract

This presentation discusses tuberculosis (TB) as one of the health issues found in Point Mar, Vista County. Although currently, Vista County faces several potential health issues, including periodic outbreaks of food poisoning, increasing levels of childhood obesity, Chlamydia infections among teens, and increased job-related accident rates, the focus on TB, which has increased among Asian immigrants who have moved to the area, is justified by the fact that the disease is likely to affect more population in the nearest future unless effective preventative measures are taken.
